Ragusa Foto Festival and the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania launch the II edition of Young Photographers from Italian Academies to promote the most innovative researches of young authors selected from the Academies of Fine Arts, ISIA, Italian Universities and public and private institutions of tertiary level, to participate in the contest.

The twelve projects and among them the first four classified will be decreed on the basis of expressive quality and artistic research by a special jury composed of leading figures in the world of visual arts including:

• Rosario Antoci, artist, coordinator of the contest YPIA, ABA CT teacher, member of the scientific committee of the Festival;

• Gianluigi Colin, artist, art director, art critic cover editor of La Lettura - Corriere della Sera;

• Yvonne De Rosa, photographer and founder of Magazzini Fotografici - Naples;

• Elena Volpato, curator and board member of Blurring the Lines.

Award
All the twelve finalist projects will be included in the catalog Young Photographers from Italian Academies #2 produced by the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania.
For the first four classified works will be set up an exhibition produced by the Festival that will be on display from October 22 to November 20 in the halls of Palazzo La Rocca in Ibla, pearl of the iblean baroque UNESCO heritage.
